Privacy Policy

Ivy is a local-first audiobook and podcast player. It is designed so that your data stays on your device.

Data collection

Ivy does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The developer operates no servers.

Your audio and listening data

Audio files you import, your listening positions, clips, notes, and listening history are stored only on your device.

Transcription

Clip transcription runs entirely on your device using a local speech recognition model. Audio is never sent anywhere for processing.

Backups

Ivy can optionally back up and sync your library data — not your audio files — to your own Google Drive account. If you enable it:

Sync is off by default and can be disabled at any time in Settings.

Permissions

Ivy asks for access to audio files only when you pick files to import, using the system file picker.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
